Fundraising
Welcome back to Hockey season! We are excited to start the season and look forward to seeing all of you at the rink.
Again, it is also time to kick off this year’s fundraising campaign. Fundraising is crucial to the Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association. The money generated through fundraising goes directly toward monthly operating expenses, debt reduction and most importantly keeps our hockey fees affordable at this top-notch facility.
As agreed to in your registration materials, U8 and travel teams are required to generate $250.00 in profit per family from their fundraising or pay the equivalent/difference to the organization. You may choose/combine any or all of the product options and/or SCRIP to reach your $250 requirement. No fundraising is required for the Intro program.
SPAYHA will again be honoring the selling enhancement policy in which any profits generated over the $250.00 minimum will be shared 50/50 between that family and the organization. The amount eligible will be offered in the form of a check the following season if you register your player. If you generate more than the $250.00 requirement but do not register your child for another season you will not get the difference back. For example:
Profit generated from fund-raising = $350.00 Profit requirement =$250.00 Difference=$100.00
$50.00 will be given the following season after you have registered (50% of difference)
ONLY ONE CHECK WILL BE ACCEPTED AT FUNDRAISER TURN IN per family…NO CASH! In an attempt to simplify record keeping, please have the people who purchase items make checks payable to you and then YOU WRITE ONE CHECK TO SPAYHA WITH YOUR CHILD'S FIRST & LAST NAME ON THE MEMO LINE to cover the cost of everything you sold. All money is due at the time the order forms are turned in. If you choose the buy-out option, payment in full is due on or before November 30th, 2025. If you choose Scrip, the last day to order will be November 30th for that current season. Failure to complete this obligation will result in your children’s non-participation on the ice.
PLEASE FILL OUT ALL FORMS COMPLETELY AND LEGIBLY

SCRIP FUNDRAISING
What is Scrip?
Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association (SPAYHA) is using RaiseRight (formerly Great Lakes Scrip Center) to manage our FUNDRAISING program with gift cards. See the following web page and videos that explain scrip, how it works, and the benefits:
Gift Card Fundraising (Scrip) for Organizations | RaiseRight
How do I register?
- Go to https://www.raiseright.com
- From the website, select Get Started for Free, then enter the enrollment code for Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association, 'LD19ALD748333', under Join an Existing Program.
- Follow the steps to create your account, and it is important to put your youngest hockey player's first and last name into the STUDENT NAME section. In the GROUP section put Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association.
- Once you have created your account, you will need to go to your Account tab, then choose Settings, then Payment Options to decide how you will pay for your orders.
- You can use a bank account, debit card or credit card at checkout, but they each have their fees associated with them. Per transaction, bank account fee is $0.29, debit card fee is 1% and credit card fee is 3%.
- Select the 'Link a Bank Account' button and follow the necessary steps to set up your bank for payment. Doing this allows RaiseRight to receive a direct electronic payment from your bank account to pay for your scrip purchases.
- Next, enter your checking or savings account information. You can also have other family members or friends help you earn through RaiseRight as well, as long as they set up an account and list your child's name.
- In 1-2 business days, setup of your bank account will be complete and you will be ready to place an order for Scrip. When you place an order for Scrip gift cards online with RaiseRight, the order will be held until the coordinator releases the association's combined order.
- SPAYHA will not accept personal checks, cash or money transfers like described in the RaiseRight website payment options.
- Order your physical gift cards prior to the 5th of every month. Your gift card order will be on its way to Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey for distribution to you from the coordinator. You may also choose to have your physical cards shipped to your house for a fee. Having your cards shipped to the coordinator doesn't cost you anything.
- You can also download the RaiseRight App from the App Store or Google Play and order gift cards to use instantly on your phone. This option may be used at any time without the involvement of the coordinator.
- Before placing an order or before calling with questions, please play around on their website, as many questions can be answered by exploring the website.
How often does SPAYHA place gift card orders for Scrip?
Orders for scrip gift cards are placed on the 5th of each month.
How do I receive my cards?
You will receive an email when cards are ready for pick up.
How long is the Scrip Fundraising term?
You will have from December 1st through November 30th of the following year to fundraise using Scrip. (EX: December 1st 2024-November 30th, 2025 would be counted towards the 2025/2026 hockey season earnings) Final orders for the earning year are due by November 30th.
SPAYHA REQUIREMENT FOR FUNDRAISING
SPAYHA requires a $250 profit per family per year obligation. If you fundraise over the $250, you will receive 50% of the overage in a check form the following season once registration is complete.
How much have I earned by using scrip?
The amount you earn depends on the rebate offered by the retailer for cards purchased. The higher the rebate, the more you earn. Login to your account at RaiseRight.com to see your order history and the amount earned to date. If you need help, contact Kelli Pavelski. All rebates will be forfeited to Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey if you leave the SPAYHA program.
Gift Card, eGift Card, Reloadable...What do they mean?
Gift Card. Order actual/physical gift cards online and they will be delivered to the coordinator and then given to you.
eGift Cards. Available on your mobile device without purchasing physical gift cards. These can be scanned from your mobile device at the store/restaurant you are in. Eliminates cards in the wallet.
Reloadable. Reload/add money to your previously purchased Scrip gift cards instantly online or by mobile device to use at the store/restaurant immediately. Eliminates extra cards in the wallet.
