SCRIP FUNDRAISING

What is Scrip?

Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association (SPAYHA) is using Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC) to manage our FUNDRAISING program with gift cards. See the following web page and videos that explain scrip, how it works, and the benefits:

http://www.glscrip.com/howscripworks/index.aspx

How do I register?

  1. Go to https://www.shopwithscrip.com
  2. From the left menu under Family Sign Up, select Create Account. The enrollment code for Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association is 'LD19ALD748333'.
  3. On the registration form, it is very important to put your youngest hockey player's first and last name into the STUDENT NAME section. In the CLASSROOM/GROUP section put Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association.
  4. Complete the registration form and select 'I Accept' to continue.
  5. Next, sign-up for Presto Pay under Family Functions on the left side of the screen. Presto Pay handles the withdrawal of funds from your bank account to pay for your scrip purchases.  This payment service, managed by Great Lakes Scrip Center, is similar to PayPal and allows for the direct, electronic payment of your scrip purchases, rather than paying Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association.
  6. Complete the Presto Pay registration form and agree to the terms of service, select "Yes" and "I agree".
  7. Next, enter your checking or savings account information. You can enter more than one bank account if you register under under a different user name. Example, Parents with separate checking/savings accounts, Divorced Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Businesses, Friends, etc. Remember to register the Youngest Hockey Player's First and Last name in the STUDENT NAME section on the registration page.
  8. To complete your Presto Pay setup, you will be given an approval code for each account that is registered.  Send each approval code by email to the scrip coordinator (Sheana Laszinski - sheanalaszinski@yahoo.com) to complete the Presto Pay setup process per account.
  9. In a few days, setup of Presto Pay will be complete and you will be ready to place an order for Scrip. When you place an order for Scrip gift cards online with Shop With Scrip, the order will be held until the coordinator releases the association's combined order.
  10. SPAYHA will not accept personal checks or cash like described in the instructions for Presto Pay.

  11.  Order your physical gift cards prior to the 15th of every month. Your gift card order will be on its way to Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey for distribution to you from the Coordinator. Orders are generally received 4 or 5 business days after being released by the coordinator, which is done on the 15th of every month.
  12. Scrip Now is available on any mobile device by adding shopwithscrip.com to your homescreen as an icon from the webpage. This option may be used at any time without the involvement of the coordinator.
  13. Before placing an order or before calling with questions, please play around on the website, shopwithscrip.com as many questions can be answered by exploring the website.

Can each family have multiple accounts? (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc..)

Yes. Each family can have multiple accounts. See step 7. Contact Sheana with questions.

How often does SPAYHA place gift card orders for Scrip?

Orders for scrip gift cards are placed on the 15th of each month.

Example, If you place a gift card order on the 15th, it will be ready for pick up on the 1st. Check the website under Apparel tab for Scrip hours.

How do I receive my cards?

Check the apparel tab on the SPAYHA website for hours. You can also make an appointment with Sheana Laszinski.

How long is the Scrip Fundraising term?

You will have from January 15 to December 1 of each year to fundraise using Scrip. You can track your progress by logging in on shopwithscrip.com.  Final orders for the year are due by December 1 not December 15.

SPAYHA REQUIREMENT FOR FUNDRAISING

SPAYHA requires a $250 profit per family per year obligation. If you fundraise over the $250, you will receive 50% of the overage in a check form the following season once registration is complete.

How much have I earned by using scrip?

The amount you earn depends on the rebate offered by the retailer for cards purchased.  The higher the rebate, the more you earn.  Login to your account at ShopWithScrip.com to see you order history and the amount earned to date.  All rebates will be forfeited to Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey if you leave the SPAYHA program.

S, R, RN, What do they mean?

S=ScripNow eCards. Available on your mobile device without purchasing physical gift cards. That can be scanned from your mobile device at the store/restaurant you are in. Eliminates cards in the wallet.

R=Reload. Reload a gift card that was purchased through Scrip but is not available right away. It would be similar to ordering a gift card and waiting for it to come in. Eliminates extra cards in the wallet.

RN= ReloadNow. Reload your Scrip gift cards instantly online or by mobile device to use at the store/restaurant immediately. Eliminates extra cards in the wallet.

Scrip Fees

A one time $5.00 per year fee will be charged to each family using the Scrip program.  The fee will be deducted from the rebate earned at the end of the calendar year.  This fee is to help cover the shipping costs of the cards.

Scrip charges a $0.15 convenience fee everytime you place an order.

Welcome back to Hockey season! We are excited to start the season and look forward to seeing all of you at the rink.

Again, it is also time to kick off this year’s fund-raising campaign. Fund-raising is crucial to the Stevens Point Area Youth Hockey Association. The money generated through fund-raising goes directly toward monthly operating expenses, debt reduction and most importantly keeps our hockey fees affordable at this top-notch facility.
As agreed to in your registration materials, U8 and travel teams are required to generate $250.00 in profit per family from their fund-raising, or pay the equivalent/difference to the organization. No fund-raising is required for the Intro program.

SPAYHA will again be honoring the selling enhancement policy in which any profits generated over the $250.00 minimum will be shared 50/50 between that family and the organization. The amount eligible will be offered in the form of a credit towards next season’s hockey fees. For example:

Profit generated from fund-raising =
$350.00             Profit requirement =$250.00               Difference$100.00
$$ applied to your 2017-2018 fees$50.00 (50% of difference)

ONLY ONE CHECK WILL BE ACCEPTED AT FUNDRAISER TURN IN per family…NO CASH! In an attempt to simplify record keeping, please have the people who purchase items make checks payable to you and then you write one check to SPAYHA with your Child's name on the memo line to cover the cost of everything you sold. All money is due at the time the order forms are turned in. If you choose the buy-out option, payment in full is due on or before December 31, 2017. Failure to complete this obligation will result in your children’s non-participation on the ice.

There are 4 fund-raising options this year. All order forms are provided and there are extras near the office stand if needed. PLEASE FILL OUT ALL FORMS COMPLETELY AND LEGIBLY
